I am a fourth year doctoral student in the Department of Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My main research and teaching interests are Modern and Contemporary Political Theory. Specifically, I am interested in liberal notions of community, the intersection of communitarian values with liberal political theory, theories of political and social engagement, technology and politics, political theory in literature, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. My minor field is Comparative Politics. Originally from New York state, I received an M.A. (’07) and B.A. (’06) in Political Science from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.
